Labrador Retriever
Labrador, Lab
The Labrador Retriever is probably America's favorite dog. He is playful (well into his adult years) and is often seen as a lifelong friend.
French Bulldog
Bouledogue Français, Frenchie
The French Bulldog is low key and enjoys lots of activity. He's well suited for either family living or attaching to just one special person. He can be a great watchdog, although will bark only when there is a real need.
Chow Chow
Chow, Chowdren
The Chow Chow is a powerful and strong dog, probably best suited for an experienced and patient dog owner. He can be proud and strong-willed, but a loyal companion when given the chance.
Goldendoodle
The Goldendoodle is a mix between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle. This breed is a good choice for families.
American Staffordshire Terrier-Siberian Husky
This breed is a cross between an American Staffordshire Terrier and a Siberian Husky. This breed is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing American Staffordshire Terrier and a Siberian Husky. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the it are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.
American Staffordshire Terrier
Amstaff
The American Staffordshire Terrier is often called "all-American" dog. The breed is loyal and brave, making it a great family pet.
English Bulldog
Bulldog
Named for its use in the sport of bull baiting, the English bulldog seems to have originated in the British Isles sometime prior to the 13th century. One of the few references to the sport dates back to 1209, and talks about a butcher's dogs that chased a bull through the English town of Stamford. This pursuit so pleased the earl of the town that he inaugurated bull baiting as a sport in his domain. Today, the English bulldog makes a fine family pet. The AKC recognizes the breed simply as the bulldog.
