Hello, welcome to the world of Olivia. i am a medium sized Peruvian Inca Orchid. PIO for short. I am told I am 7 years old. I’m not sure how 7 is supposed to feel but I feel like a youngster. I have so many favorite things I like to do. Here is just a few. Going for walks, going for car rides, playing with toys, sleeping in bed with my family, cuddling, oh yes that’s my favorite for sure. I am a very happy girl. There are a few things I don’t like. Kids that run, I don’t know why but it makes me nervous. I am not fond of people I have not met. But once I have met you a few times we will be great friends. My foster mom keeps telling me I am such a good girl and she calls me sweets. I usually get lots of pets when she calls me that. I love pets. If you have other dogs in your house that’s ok, just make sure you leave room for me on your lap too. I really love it here with my foster family but mom tells me I deserve a family of my very own. She tells me she will miss me a lot. So if you think we might like doing some of my favorite things together, get ahold of my foster mom. She will tell you all about me. Don’t forget me, remember my name is Olivia. Look me up.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
