Posted Breed: Dachshund / Corgi / Mixed (short coat). All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, .dpsrescue for an application. Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: .facebook/DPSRescue This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, Feb. 2nd from 12pm-4pm and Sunday, Feb. 3rd from 11-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed. Mayflower is an 3 year old Dachshund mix who weighs a whopping 12lbs. She was a rescue from the shelter which means that we don't know much about her past but we do know that she has a future of love and cuddles ahead of her. This spunky, full of life, wants to play nonstop girl is bound to make you laugh. She met the cat in her foster home and we didn't expect her to jump over the top of the docile feline who wasn't too impressed with Mayflower's athletic skills. The cat yawned but wasn't interested in moving so Mayflower just jumped over, ran around and in general couldn't care less about the cat. Mayflower has made nonstop friends at her foster home, in the neighborhood, at the dog park and then recently at doggy daycare. Over the weekend it was puppy palooza at the foster home with all the neighbor dogs coming over while their humans enjoyed a day of BBQ. The dogs played nonstop in the front yard and leading the pack was Mayflower being the perfect host. Mayflower us such a cuddle bug. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle up with her foster family and watch movies! Get ready for fun with this gal. Get ready for activity whether they are walks on the beach, hiking up to the nearest waterfall or going Christmas caroling with the family. Mayflower is only an option for those who have owned a dog previously and have dog experience. If there are children in the home they need to be the age of 10 or older.
