Dog Breed: Siberian Husky / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Nova! -2 year old spayed female Husky mix (Siberian Husky mix is just a guess!) -Weighs 62# -Lived in a home with a family previously, including children and another dog -House trained -Has befriended dogs at the Shelter including Wyatt! -Not recommended to live in a home with cats A dedicated volunteer has been taking Nova on field trips to give her a break from the Shelter. The volunteer reports: “Nova and I spent a couple of days together and had a great time. She loved our neighborhood walks and going to the beach! She met several dogs and was friendly with them all. It was nice to see her sweet and playful personality emerge as she started to relax away from the shelter. She slept quietly through the night and overall was a great houseguest! Also great in the car!” *Nova's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!* Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
