Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 500. Meet Louie! He is a terrier mix pup weighing around 8 lbs and born in mid June. He loves to play; he loves to be held and is all boy. His personality would be perfect for any family, he adjusts to the situation at hand. He is doing well with potty training, he does come when you call him and will be good at playing ball,one day, once he learns to bring the ball back Louie is a big cuddler, he will cuddle with his sister and make one big ball. He has a pure heart, and a kind disposition. He will do best in a home with kids 8 or older please. Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
