Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. I NEED A FAMILY Introducing magnificent Zeus out of Nevada! His previous owners absolutely love this guy but could no longer keep him due to their long work schedules and wanted him to be in a family home where he would thrive! Zeus is a neutered, 3-year-old, large boy at 80 pounds and is such a lovable boy who enjoys spending time with his people or chewing on a bone! He has high prey drive; therefore, would need to be kept away from the kitties! Zeus would thrive in a breed experienced home as the only dog because he is just a big, loyal, velcro love bug! He has an overall medium drive including a medium toy drive but still needs to be exercised every day. He loves to play but also knows how to settle well in the house. He is crate trained and potty trained. His basic obedience is pretty good but definitely needs to work on his leash manners. Zeus would do well with kids over the age of 8 and would make a great addition to any family. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
