Dog Breed: Maltese / Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Cheerio! Cheerio was found as a stray in rural WA. He is a good boy and super cute! Cheerio lives in a foster home with several other dogs and gets along well with all of them. He is good with people also and is an affectionate fella. He does show some signs of being treated poorly in the past. He will cower when you pick up a broom or anything that looks like a stick and he does not like to be touched unexpectedly or quickly. A little notice that you want to pick him up is helpful to him. A home without kids is best for him for this reason. We would love to see him in a calm home with someone who has a little patience and understands his need to take things slowly. His foster family is working with him and he is learning to trust a little more each day. Our staff trainer will also be available to anyone adopting Cheerio for further support to help build his trust and confidence. Cheerio is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.
