Dog Breed: Cocker Spaniel / Border Collie / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 450. Monty came from a home with too many dogs, but you’d never guess it from his happy-go-lucky attitude. He’s just thrilled to be around people and other dogs — whether that means playing all day or curling up on the couch for snuggles. This friendly, gentle guy is leash trained, crate trained, and does well in the car. He’s affectionate, goofy, and easy to please. Monty loves toys, loves company, and loves life in general. He’s working on being calm when dogs or cats walk by his kennel, but once he’s out and about, he’s as easygoing as they come. Monty would fit in well with just about any household that’s ready for a loyal, loving companion who’s always up for fun — or a nap! Monty is from Texas. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due.
