All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step.  Meet Ivy!  Sweet, gentle, and full of love — that’s Ivy in a nutshell! This 1-year-old, 24 lb Kelpie/Lab mix is truly the total package. She’s a social butterfly who adores people (especially kids!) and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Whether she’s snuggling up with her favorite humans, gently playing with her doggy friends at daycare, or making friends with cats and kittens, Ivy’s kind heart shines through in everything she does. Playtime is her favorite time — she loves her toys almost as much as she loves making new friends. Submissive, affectionate, and endlessly sweet, Ivy is the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved in return. Whoever adopts this precious girl is in for a lifetime of tail wags, soft snuggles, and pure joy. All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
