Description
Dog Breed: Chihuahua (medium coat). Hi there, nameâs Moxie. Iâm ten... give or take, which in Chihuahua years makes me something of a grand dame. I donât do much running around these days; I leave that to the pups with too much coffee in their veins. My hobbies are refined: sunbathing until Iâm perfectly toasted, burrowing under a pile of blankets just so, and napping like itâs a full-time job which, honestly, it is. Iâve got a spot on the couch that gets the afternoon sun, and if anyone tries to move me, I give them the look. You know the one. I donât bark much anymore unless thereâs a good reason. I prefer calm days, soft voices, and a steady supply of warmth. Lifeâs better when itâs slow, cozy, and sprinkled with naps. I may be little, but Iâve got seniority, and Iâve earned my peace. So go ahead!! Take your walk. Iâll be right here, dreaming under my blanket, chasing the next sunbeam.

Overview:
The Chihuahua, a captivating breed known for its diminutive size, boasts an ancient and somewhat mysterious origin, with most theories pointing to Mexico as its birthplace, potentially descending from the "Techichi," a small companion dog of the Toltec civilization. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their small, compact bodies, large expressive eyes, and erect ears, appearing in both smooth and long-coated varieties, showcasing a vast array of colors and markings. Despite their tiny stature, Chihuahuas possess a big personality; they are often described as spirited, alert, and fiercely loyal to their owners, sometimes displaying a bold and confident demeanor. While their small size makes them exceptionally well-suited for apartment living, they thrive in homes where they receive ample attention and mental stimulation. They can be good family pets for older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog, but their delicate build makes them less suitable for boisterous toddlers. Regarding health, Chihuahuas can be prone to certain conditions like patellar luxation, heart problems, and dental issues, making regular veterinary check-ups crucial for their well-being.
