Our DODGER slammed it right out of the stadium - named for the 2024 World Series champs. Dodger is a great team player. He loves, loves, loves playing with other playful dogs and can play until he or both or all collapse in a pile to sleep a few hours! Dodger is a champ indoors, too. He’s younger than we originally thought and for a young Aussie he does have moderate / preferred “chilled out” temperament indoors. He will play with his own or chew on a Chewie on his bed on the floor. We don’t know a lot about Dodger’s past because we saved him in a collaborate rescue with a shelter, volunteer and rescue representative. He’s true-blue for all his assessments and we are thrilled to have him! Dodger has found himself a best friend in Willow one of our other fosters. They’re about the same age and same activity level and I’ve had a great time chasing each other around the yard & in and out of the house. We can see clearly that he’ll make a great canine companion for a female dog, and with another male submissive like himself, either of those would be fine as long as it’s a playful buddy! We want Dodger to find a home with a big backyard to plan in with his new human family and hopefully a couple of furbabies. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD. General Info - PLEASE READ!
