Dog Breed: Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). This handsome boy is Tommy! He is a 1-2 year old, 70 pound Retriever mix. Tommy is a lover boy! He is extremely affectionate and really enjoys ear scratches and belly rubs. He will even hug you if you let him! Tommy came to us as somewhat of a blank slate. He has learned to walk nicely on a leash and we have begun some basic training with him. He is very comfortable with everyone he meets, but seems to be lacking life experiences and can be a little unsure in new situations. We believe in a home with a loving, patient adopter he will gain the confidence he needs and will really blossom. Tommy has a wonderful temperament and would be a loving and loyal companion for someone willing to work with him. Tommy would do best in a home with teens or adults. While a fenced yard is always nice, he is not high energy and it is not required. He would love someone who would take him on walk a couple of times a day.
