Description
Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. **Bodhi is a courtesy post and is not located at or affiliated with Paws Crossed Animal Rescue At 1 y/o and 80 lbs, Bodhi is a beautiful, sweet and noble creature in need of a suburban or rural home. He's super-smart, responsive to training (already has a reliable recall, leave-it, drop, sit, stay and down), good on leash, and generally calm around the house. He enjoys his crate, sleeps through the night, and is 100% house-trained. He loves playing with other dogs and thrives at doggie day care. A home with other big dogs and room to play would probably be great for him (it's just the two of us in our NYC home). His main issue, and it's the reason I'm rehoming him, is that he is occasionally reactive and aggressive towards other dogs and people. He doesn't go berserk and can be calmed very quickly. But we live in downtown Manhattan where there are just too many people on the streets and too much unpredictability for him to be his best self. Crate, leash, harness and food will be provided. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Labrenees or Pyrador is the mix of one large-sized dog; the Great Pyrenees and one medium-sized dog; Labrador Retriever. As a hybrid, it has better quality than its parent breeds as the traits and characteristics are mixed. These are very large dogs that are typically more cooperative and trainable than the Great Pyrenees, but more discriminating and naturally protective than the Labrador Retriever.
