Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Mia (AL): Your New Best Friend with a Tail! Are you ready to fall in love? Because Mia is here to steal your heart, your snacks, and probably your spot on the couch. This two-year-old terrier mix is pure joy, wrapped in fur and powered by tail wags. Mia is the kind of gal who greets every human like they’re her long-lost soulmate and every dog like they’re her new brunch buddy. She’s healthy, happy, and has mastered the art of the head tilt that says, “I love you… now hand over the treat.” Whether you’re into long walks, Netflix marathons, or awkwardly narrating your dog’s inner thoughts (she’s got a British accent, obviously), Mia is ready to be your partner in crime. Friendly? Check. Dog-approved? Check. Ready for her forever home? Triple check. Apply to adopt Mia (AL) at .rescuedogsrocknyc before she figures out how to use Tinder. Please also be sure to reference this pet's name as Mia (AL) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Thank you! RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
