Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Formally known as Goose, this handsome guy has officially made his debut on the adoption floor! Zeus has had quite the journey—he came to us as a stray in rough shape, but with medical care, medicated baths, a little extra food, and a whole lot of love, he’s transformed into the strong, happy dog he is today. Zeus also spent some time in a foster home, which helped him decompress and discover the joys of living in a house. He loves to play, proudly carries around his favorite stuffed toy, and has been building confidence on his walks. He knows “sit” and “paw,” and he’s always ready to show off his skills. Zeus is still working on his potty training and is asking for grace while he continues to learn. He hasn’t met kids yet, and his big, enthusiastic play style may be a bit much for some smaller children. Zeus can also be selective with other dogs—shelter stress made him a bit barrier stressed, but in foster he enjoyed playing with the right dog friends. He tends to do best with respectful or female dogs and prefers slow, positive introductions. Once everyone has gotten a chance to get to know each other, he enjoys wrestling and a game of chase! Zeus has overcome so much, and now he’s ready for his next chapter. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a big heart (and a stuffed toy in his mouth), come meet Zeus!
