Description
Dog Breed: Miniature Pinscher / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 300.00. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog. Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites. Dax is a fun, playful, lovable young guy. He appears to be either Chihuahua, MinPin or both with maybe doxie? Just a cute little guy whatever his mix. He can be a bit vocal if exciting things are going on around him, so probably would not make a good apt companion. He will walk on leash but uses his little 9 pound body to pull you along still. He does great with other dogs and we were told children also. We have not personally had him around any children thus far. He is doing good with crate training with regular outings. Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Doxie-Pin, a charming designer breed, is a delightful mix of the feisty Miniature Pinscher and the long-bodied Dachshund. Originating from the desire to combine the best traits of both parents, these small to medium-sized dogs typically sport a sleek, short coat that can vary in color, often inheriting the Dachshund's elongated body with the Min Pin's alert expression and strong, athletic build. Temperamentally, Doxie-Pins are known for being energetic, intelligent, and often quite playful, though they can also exhibit a degree of stubbornness from their Dachshund lineage. They are generally good with families and can adapt well to apartment living provided they receive sufficient daily exercise and mental stimulation. Owners should be aware of potential health concerns inherited from their parent breeds, such as intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) due to their longer backs, and patellar luxation, making regular veterinary check-ups important for their long-term well-being.
