Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd. Meet Zaria, a sweet little warrior with the softest face and the bravest heart. She may be tiny, but she’s full of curiosity and confidence. Zaria loves exploring, playing with toys, and following her people around just to be close. She’s gentle, social, and already showing how smart she is. Zaria does great with other dogs and would love a home where she can keep learning, growing, and getting all the love she deserves. She’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly — the kind of puppy who will chase her toys one minute and curl up in your lap the next. She’s working on crate training and potty skills. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and fun little girl to grow with your family, Zaria is your girl. My adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX and it includes all my age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. Fill out an app at: toolkit.rescuegroups/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
