Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Peaches is a friendly girl who is looking for a home! She's currently with our rescue partners in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon with a foster or adopter. We do offer foster to adopt for approved adopters. This incredibly beautiful and loving girl is around 50 pounds. Peaches is not only playful and affectionate but also loves to be by our side every step of the way. She is fully house and crate trained making her a wonderful addition to any family. Peaches enjoys snuggling and plays wonderfully with all her foster siblings spreading joy wherever she goes. She does have an adventurous spirt and can escape so a secure fence is a must. Peaches is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Peaches tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450. How to Adopt Me! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
