Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Loki is a 6 year old pitbull and is black and white. He is a loving boy and will gladly take a nap with you or take a car ride. He loves to ride and stick his head out of the window. He has traveled all the way to Wisconsin with me and back. He has been in the family since he was 5 weeks old and was a rescue due to the previous owners mistreating him. He has lived with cats and other dogs all his life and is kennel trained he is not fond of babies and toddlers and hide due to a previous incident of having his tails and ears pulled (it was fixed immediately when it happened) but loves older kids and is very protective. He is not aggressive and has never harmed anyone or animal and follow my cues when I tell him it's okay to greet someone. He is fixed and has an allergy to fleas which requires a flea pill every month and a shot for his allergies or he loses all of his fur from scratching. He is an inside dog and loves a good comfy bed and a blanket to snuggle under but will definitely bask in the sun outside. He loves to cuddle, going for long walks, and will sit for treats. Unfortunately, due to financial issues he must be rehomed. **** Breed: Pitbull **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2191104&flag=1

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
