Johnny Bravo | 1.5-Year-Old Mini Schnauzer/Poodle Mix | Playful Teddy Bear Johnny Bravo is a charming 13-pound mini schnauzer/poodle mix with a soft black and gray coat and the personality of a little teddy bear. At 1.5 years old, he has a playful, sweet, and affectionate nature, but he also has some boundaries and sensitivities due to a traumatic past. Johnny was badly injured when attacked by another dog while tied up, so he doesn’t like his feet or rear handled. With patience and understanding, he blossoms into a loving, snuggly companion who loves to rest his head on you and prance around with his curly ears bouncing. Johnny is fully house-trained and sleeps through the night without accidents, though like any dog, he may have occasional accidents while adjusting to a new environment. He also does well in a kennel with some encouragement. He enjoys toys—especially squeaky ones—and treats, though he needs guidance on taking treats gently. He loves going on walks, long hikes, and playtime, and would benefit from 1–2 hours of activity daily. He has some puppy energy but knows how to settle in and snuggle afterward. Johnny can be reactive on leash around other dogs and people, and he may growl if his paws or rear are touched. He hasn’t been around young children and should be in a home with older kids (12+) who can respect his space. He should also be in a cat-free household. While he could be an only dog, he might also enjoy a confident, playful canine companion to help him feel secure and show him the ropes. Johnny’s ideal home is an active, loving environment with a family committed to his training, socialization, and confidence-building. Despite his past trauma, he is a happy, friendly, and incredibly cute little boy who is ready to find a patient adopter to share adventures—and snuggles—with. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you.
