Dog Breed: Dachshund (long coat). Adoption Fee: 295.00. Sweet Sasha is a 9 year old 14 lb dapple long hair dachschund. To no fault of her own she is looking for her forever home. This little girl is super sweet and good with other dogs as well as cats. She would be fine with mature kids (no babies). She was loved and treated like Royalty at some point. She enjoys laying on your lap or furniture verses dog bed. We are working on training with a doggie door . She has had a dental and will require moistened food rather than kibble. This happy loving girl needs someone who will love her and adore her like she will you. To meet Sasha, please fill out an application! Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas/Ft. The Dachshund, affectionately known as the "wiener dog," is a fascinating breed originating in Germany, primarily bred to hunt badgers and other burrowing animals. Their most distinctive physical characteristic is their long, low-slung body and short, muscular legs, a feature perfectly adapted for tunneling. They come in three coat types – smooth, longhaired, and wirehaired – and various sizes, from miniature to standard. Temperamentally, Dachshunds are known for being courageous, curious, and often quite playful, with a surprising amount of energy. While they are intelligent, their independent nature can make training a delightful challenge.
