Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. Howdy, I am Baby Billy! I am your next adventure buddy! I’m the most playful and loyal heeler mix puppy who will follow you like a little duckling! I walk great on a leash and will wag my tail the whole walk! I love other dogs, kids, and people! I enjoy car rides, and I am ready for a new adventure as I am curious about the world! I have already learned to sit and play fetch with my foster sibling! I am still working on potty training and crate training, but doing well so far! I respond well to treats and positive reinforcement as I LOVE FOOD, but will need good structure while I’m learning to be your perfect companion. I’m growing fast as I’m only about 3 months and expected to be about 30 lbs (a medium-sized dog) If Baby Billy sounds like the pup for you, please apply to Rescue Rovers at bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
