Description
Dog Breed: Miniature Pinscher (short coat). Adoption Fee: $400.00 Meet Rusty ✨ Rusty is the full package wrapped up in one energetic, adorable pup! Don’t let his small size fool you—this little guy is bursting with BIG personality, BIG energy, and a whole lot of fun. If you love staying active and want a sidekick to keep up, Rusty is your boy! This busy little guy is always on the go—playing, bouncing, exploring, and showing off his impressive jumping skills (seriously… he’s got some hops). Rusty is already potty trained and crate trained, and he’s one smart cookie who’s learning quickly—he already knows to sit for treats and gets super excited when the leash comes out! He absolutely loves other dogs and thrives on playtime, so a furry friend would be a major bonus. Rusty could use a little help polishing his leash manners, but he’s eager and ready to learn. Any kids in the home should be old enough to know to respect his boundaries. And when the day winds down? Rusty turns into the ultimate cuddle bug His favorite place is snuggled up right next to you under the blankets. And fair warning—if you stop petting him, he’ll gently remind you with the sweetest little paw. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, playful, and snuggly best friend, Rusty is ready to jump right into your life (literally!). New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record. If you would like to adopt this very special K-9 kid, please go DIRECTLY to our website to complete our convenient Online Adoption Form. Breed overview
Miniature Pinscher
A.K.A.: Min Pin, Zwergpinscher, Reh Pinscher, Teacup Miniature Pinscher, Toy Miniature Pinscher, Mini Pinscher
Overview:
The Miniature Pinscher, often affectionately called "Min Pin," is a small, elegant breed originating from Germany, where it was bred to hunt vermin. Despite its resemblance to a small Doberman, the two breeds are distinct. Physically, Min Pins are characterized by their sleek, short coats, typically black, red, or chocolate with rust markings, and their alert, high-stepping gait, earning them the nickname "King of Toys." They possess a confident, curious, and often bold temperament, embodying a big dog personality in a compact package. While they are energetic and require regular exercise, their small size makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate mental and physical stimulation. They can be good family pets, especially with older children who understand how to interact with a smaller, more delicate dog. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health issues such as patellar luxation and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, the Min Pin is a lively, intelligent companion for those seeking an active and spirited small dog.
