Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Pocket! She came to the shelter through no fault of her own as her previous owner had allergies and could not keep her. Since coming to the shelter, she has blossomed into a sweet little pup who loves attention. She loves to roll over for belly rubs and hop into everyone’s lap to receive pets. While Pocket loves her people friends, she’s not so keen on other canines. We are recommending that Pocket be the only dog in the home so that she can soak up all the love and attention she wants. If you are looking for an excitable and loving companion for your home, come meet Pocket today! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
