Description
Dog Breed: French Bulldog. ADOPTION PENDING/APPLICATIONS CLOSED Hi, I’m Fiona! (hearing impaired) I’m a playful little French Bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I may be fully deaf, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit — I’m smart, loving, and always keeping an eye on my people. I’m basically your tiny shadow and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. I’m house trained and crate trained, and I love having cozy naps after playtime. Toys, bones, balls, and snacks are some of my favourite things. I LOVE playing fetch and could chase a ball around all day if you let me! I’m definitely food motivated too, which makes me extra fun to spoil and easy to bond with. I’m super cuddly and love curling up beside you on the couch - fair warning though, I do snore a little. Okay… maybe a lot. I’m looking for a patient and loving home that understands deaf dogs can live amazing, happy lives. I have so much love to give and can’t wait to find my forever family. Love,Fiona *Located in OTTAWA

Overview:
The French Bulldog, affectionately known as a "Frenchie," is a charming and compact companion breed originating from England, later popularized in France during the 19th century. Known for their distinctive "bat ears" and sturdy, muscular build, they possess a short, smooth coat that comes in various colors and patterns. Despite their somewhat serious expression, Frenchies boast an incredibly affectionate and playful temperament, making them excellent companions for individuals and families alike. Their relatively low exercise requirements and adaptability make them particularly well-suited for apartment living. However, prospective owners should be aware of their susceptibility to certain health considerations, including breathing difficulties due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure, as well as spinal issues and skin allergies. With proper care and attention, a French Bulldog can bring years of joy and loving companionship.
