If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Clarence came to us by way of the county shelter, where he was about to be euthanized because lack of space. Our boy is one of the lucky ones - we scooped him up and gave him his 2nd Chance. Clarence is a great dog; we think he suffers from "Brown Dog Syndrome" - similar to black dogs - he just gets passed up because he is one of many, many brown dogs out there. But we can tell you that Clarence is a special boy. Loving, extremely devoted, and a bit of a clown; he would do best as an only dog. Since he has been in rescue for a few years, we are offering the assistance of a trainer to help integrate him into a home environment for free, to his adoptive family. Note from Clarence: I still have plenty of energy to be your hiking buddy...playing in the water and taking car rides are just a few of my favorite things to do. I am neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an Adoption Consultation Application! I am so ready for a forever home!

They are well-behaved girls, very sweet, but will need a home together - forever or foster home. If fostering, we will supply everything they need - from medical care down to their food and beds. Foster families just need to supply the love, care, and roof over their heads.

If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM When you look up "happy-go-lucky boy" in the dictionary, Harley's photo will be right next to it! He can play ball all day long and never get tired. Harley came to us because his former owner didn't have much time for him and kept Harley in a crate most of the time; but those days are over and Harley is enjoying life outside of a crate. Our boy has a lot of energy and would love to find a active home where his family will take him on walks and adventures! But most importantly Harley is looking for a family to love him the way he deserves. If you enjoy playing fetch that would be great, but Harley is just as happy chasing a ball around the back yard by himself. He is one boy that can keep himself entertained! Even after being diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, this guy wants nothing more than to play ball. We are treating his condition, would continue to provide his medical care in the event that a loving family would open their home and hearts to this amazing guy. To meet our beloved Harley, all you have to do is fill out an adoption consultation form (or foster form - our guy is available for fostering) and we will get back to you ASAP.

If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM This A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E baby boy is a gorgeous dachshund mix. Willy Wonka was going to be euthanized by the shelter for medical reasons. 2nd Chance rescued him and we immediately took him to a neurologist for x-rays and an MRI. Both revealed that Willy Wonka didn't have any feeling in his nerves to his intestines and colon; therefore he had no control over his bladder or stool, but aside from that he could live a very good life. We found an amazing foster family, and Willy flourished under their care. He's made a lot of progress. Here is a note shared by his foster mom: "Willy is the happiest dog I know. He loves to play, run and chase his ball. His daily routine is letting him out of his kennel he sleeps in and I let him outside to eat breakfast along with giving him 3 liquid medications. He runs around and loves to lay directly in the sun. After some outside time, I place a male diaper wrap around his waist and a diaper Velcro cover. He does well with this and that keeps from accidents in the house. When he gets excited if company is over I have a body suit I place on him with a diaper wrap and pad inside to his rear to ensure no leaking with excitement. He loves his toys and bones. He’s just about a year so he still has a little puppy in him occasionally chewing something he shouldn’t so it’s best to have toys accessible for him. He gets 1 of his 3 medications in midafternoon. Then all 3 again at night time. I do not place a diaper wrap on him at night while in his kennel just so his bladder and belly can breathe a bit, there is usually a little mess overnight, so I take out the blankets and wash them on a speed cycle in the morning. Willy loves walks and kids. I did recently see that he was a little food aggressive with one of the neighbor kids. He was in his kennel eating but growled when they came to sit on the outside by him. I have never seen him do that with my son or us before. He loves to play with our cat and other dogs. We live next to a green belt and he will bark when he hears other dogs playing on the other side of the fence. I can usually redirect him with a toy or treat. Willy would need about 3 diaper changes throughout the day along with backyard time for diaper breaks and exercise. He is great at cuddles and kisses. " If you think you could open your heart, your home, and provide Willy with the ongoing care he needs, we would provide for his medical and living expenses for six months, and work closely with you to make sure that Willy and his family are appropriately supported for success.

If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Toola a BEAUTIFUL Catahoula mix. Her photos just don't do justice to her gorgeous markings! We had to rescue our Toola twice - once when we originally rescued her; then again, several years later, after her adopter unceremoniously dumped her at the county shelter, because she was moving and could not take Toola with her. Our adoption contract states that all of our dogs are to come back to rescue at any time an adopter can no longer care for one of our dogs - but Toola's adopter never called us. After three years in a home, our poor girl found herself scared and facing euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter. We are so glad we got her out of there. Toola is looking for a new home, and we are determined that our girl not get her heart broken again. Toola is housetrained, playful, well-mannered and sweet as can be. We are looking for a home where Toola can be the only dog. Forever Foster Homes Because Toola, who is 8 years old, is Valley Fever positive, and needs to be on medication, we would be open to having her "forever fostered." Basically, a forever foster home would be a home where the family is willing to foster one of our medical dogs (a dog that has an ongoing medical condition that requires treatment) on open-ended basis, and we will provide medical care and all basic necessities. Other dogs that would qualify for this "forever foster" situation would be: Chiffon (Valley Fever, cancer), Elsa (blind, Valley Fever), Chase(Valley Fever), Carousel (Valley Fever), Daisy Mae (Valley Fever), and Harley(cancer). If you live in Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek) and are willing to foster, forever foster, or adopt, please check out our website, fill out an application, and be hero for one of our amazing 2nd Chance Dogs today.

Marina was very, very sick, and although we did everything we could to save her, Marina could not pull through, and we lost her on January 24, 2019. Our hearts were broken for the sweet girl that had been neglected for far too long. Our only consolation was that Sail pulled through his kennel cough and is now a happy, healthy boy - and ready for his forever home!
