  • Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix Dog For Adoption in Queen Creek, AZ, USA

    Jax

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed. If you have second thoughts about adopting a stray or abandoned dog/pup, please check out our "Successful Adoptions Page" and see how many dogs we have already placed into loving homes. Be sure to check out their happy endings under "Happy Tails!" ADOPTION PROCESS Before 2nd Chance Dog Rescue places a dog in his/her furever home, the potential adopter is required to fill out an Adoption Consultation Application. Once we have reviewed your application we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and home check. 2nd Chance Dog Rescue will only adopt to families living in the Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, San Tan Valley, and Phoenix area - as long as it is within 50 miles of our rescue (Queen Creek). If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM After 4 years in a home, 2nd Chance Alum Jax is in need of a new home. His family moved to Europe and left him behind. While we are truly disappointed, we always stand by our dogs! We'd like to find a foster or forever home as soon as possible for sweet Jax. He's four years old and a handsome lab mix, about 70 pds. Jax is extremely nervous around new people and can be an aggressive barker at first, but once he is calmed down, he is really sweet. We really need to find him a secure foster in the East Valley so he can begin to start his new life. We will provide all his necessities including training. At this time we'd love to find him a home without other pets, until we can assess what his compatibilities are, but will consider homes with animals on a case-by-case basis.

If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM We rescued awesome little Tito from the county shelter, where he appeared to be having trouble walking. There was concern that he had neurological issues, and as a senior with health issues, his chances in the shelter weren't good. So we took Tito out of there, to start his 2nd Chance. Turns out this hardy little guy doesn't have a thing wrong with his legs, he was a bit under the weather with coughing, etc., but after getting some TLC and a complete checkup and labs at our vet, we're happy to report that Tito is ready for his forever home! He is technically a senior, but he has a long, happy life ahead of him, with years of love to give some lucky family! He is a chihuahua with some very "un-chihuahua"-like traits...he is easygoing with strangers, and doesn't appear to have a nervous bone in his body (those familiar with the breed know what we're talking about!) If you are interested in our little guy with a big heart, please put in your application and we will get in touch to see if you are the family that Tito has been waiting for.

Courtesy Post Please share or consider whether or not you can adopt or foster this sweet girl! IF you can HELP, please contact Amanda or her mother. But only if you can help - thank you... "Roxy is housebroken (never has had a inside accident), very sweet, loves car rides, & she is fixed and about 6-7 years old. My mom rescued her in a Walmart parking lot when she was probably around 7 months to a year old. Resident dogs have started getting into fights with her, and due to family dynamic, other members of the household prefer to rehome Roxy for her own safety. She is a pit mix. (Mix unknown due to rescue situation). She gets nervous around smaller kids and hides or shakes. She has never been aggressive towards kids or people. She loves my 11yr. old son BUT we do think a house with loving adults (or adult) would be better. My mom is heartbroken to have to be in this situation. We don't want someone who will only leave her outside as she has always been a inside outside dog with a dog door option. My name is Amanda 602-469-3060 My mom is Jacque 602-574-0119 Thank you for your help."

If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM Lovely Mona Lisa is approximately 3 years old, a little shy at first meeting, but so very sweet! She is good with kids (6 years and up). She is good on a leash, but again, a little shy, so she would need to go into a home where the family is patient and willing to help her overcome some of her insecurities. We are not yet sure how she would be with cats. Mona Lisa's foster mom has begun to slowly introduce her to other dogs, so if she went into a home with other dogs they would need to be kept separate while proper introductions are being done. She has been tested (negative for tick and valley fever and is negative for heartworm). We rescued this big-hearted girl after she was abandoned in her backyard by her former "family" - she was left chained up without food, water, or shade. Neighbors did not realize she was there until nearly two weeks had gone by. This amazing girl managed to survive the AZ summer heat and monsoons, eating rocks and crying until someone heard her and stepped in to help. Even after all that, Mona Lisa loves people with all her heart. It is our honor to find her the loving home that she deserves.

If you are ready to meet one of our amazing dogs CLICK ON THIS LINK TO FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION CONSULTATION FORM We are in need of finding Johnny a foster ASAP. We rescued him from the county shelter's euthanasia list. Our boy was extremely ill, he wasn't eating, drinking or walking. When we rescued him, we assumed he had an upper respiratory infection and/or valley fever. It turned out Johnny boy has canine herpes, which is totally treatable, and he is recovering from it, but he is deaf. He is ready for a home and some TLC! We think he's some kind of Aussie or perhaps Pointer or Rotti mix. He's on the smaller side of medium, at just 40 lbs. As far as we know, he is okay with dogs, but we would need to do a meet and greet to confirm compatibility. Please consider being a Foster or Forever Hero for Johnny, and showing him what love is all about. Special needs dogs are often overlooked because people are unsure they can handle them - but please know that these amazing creatures often compensate very well for their disabilities, and make the most amazing family members.

Max was adopted in 2016 and for the first year things were great, but unfortunately once things started going downhill in his owners marriage Max started paying the price. Max was no longer the apple of his dad's eye and his overall care was being neglected. A once healthy and happy Max found himself back at the shelter in worse shape than his first stay. Thank goodness for Max's guardian angel Debbie, who immediately rushed to Max's aid. Debbie's had her vet give Max a full examine to ensure there wasn't any underlying issues going on. Max tested negative for Tick Fever and Valley Fever. Debbie is now having a fecal and heart worm test performed to ensure Max is 100% healthy. Debbie is looking to find Max a new family that won't neglect and abandoned him like his former dad did. If you can provide Max with a secure/loving and happy life, please fill out an adoption application and we will send it over to Debbie for her review and she will contact you. Max is an 8 y/o boxer. He is 61pds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Max was recently in a home with children and small dogs and a cat, but he doesn't do well with bigger dogs .
