Barbets are a rare French Water Dog breed, that are nonshedding, Hypoalergenic and incredible family companions. This litter is from CH Julia Childs and CH Astartes Morningstar Artimus, 4 girls 1 boy. All puppies will be wormed, first set of shots and Microchipped that is prepaid for live. Barbets love family life, playing outside and cuddleing on the couch. They make great apartment dogs with many living in high rise apts in both Seattle and NYC but are eually happy in the backyard or your farm. They have a low prey drive, are great with kids and other animals. They are not jumpers, diggers or barkers . All these kiddos are happy, healthy and inquistive. I am a retired Psychologist that took a Barbet with me to work everyday as my co-therapist. Parents have been genetically tested and OFA'd, the puppies have had one round of emotional and psychological testing for helping in making a good match with your needs, another to come this week . Their friendly nature and moderate size make them suitable for families, though apartment living might be challenging without consistent outdoor activity. Regarding health, Barbets are generally a healthy breed, but potential concerns include hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as certain eye conditions. Regular grooming is essential to prevent matting of their unique coat.
