Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier. Brady is a super friendly boy who is all about fun, play, and affection. He is a happy, energetic, spirited boy, usually with his tail wagging, who loves to be with people and share his zest for life. Brady adores every minute of attention and playtime, loves to play fetch and be silly with toys. He enjoys back rubs, belly rubs, and hugs, and walks nicely on a leash. It’s truly a shame that Brady has been at the rescue for 6 years and is now about 10 years old (and 55-60 pounds). However, despite his age, Brady is in good condition and has the spunk and energy of a young dog. He would love a new parent who will hang out with him a lot and engage in lots of playtime. Brady must be the only pet in his new home as he is aggressive towards other dogs. Please watch the video at the end of the photos to see how much fun and how entertaining Brady is. If you believe you are the right person for Brady, and would love to share your life and have some great times with him, please put in an application today.

Overview:
The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a robust and intelligent breed, originating in the United States from crossbreeding Old English Terriers and Old English Bulldogs for dog-fighting purposes. Physically, they are medium-sized, known for their muscular build, broad heads, and powerful jaws, typically weighing between 30-60 pounds. Their coats are short and come in a wide array of colors. Temperamentally, a well-socialized APBT is often described as loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented, displaying a playful and sometimes clownish demeanor. They can be excellent family companions, provided they receive consistent training and early socialization, though their high energy levels mean they thrive with active owners. While they can adapt to apartment living with sufficient exercise, a house with a secure yard is often preferred. Notable health considerations include a predisposition to hip and elbow dysplasia, allergies, and certain heart conditions.
