Description
Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Boxer / Mixed (short coat). Meet Jo Jo! Jo Jo is a precious, loving boy who truly shines when he’s outside of his kennel. He did great today in the play yard and showed just how much he enjoys being close to his people. As you can see, Jo Jo loves affection and wants nothing more than to be right by your side, soaking up love and attention. Jo Jo is always ready to get out, explore the world, and see what’s next. He has a gentle, eager spirit and clearly enjoys human connection. Born around 1/8/2018, Jo Jo still has so much love to give. Sadly, Jo Jo was left at the shelter gate and has been there ever since. Despite that, he remains sweet, trusting, and hopeful. He deserves a chance to know what it feels like to have a home—or even a foster—where he can finally relax and feel chosen. Please consider fostering or adopting Jo Jo and giving this wonderful boy the fresh start he’s been waiting so patiently for.

Breed overview
Overview:
The Boxador, a popular designer dog, is a lively crossbreed resulting from the union of a Boxer and a Labrador Retriever. Originating in North America, this hybrid was developed to combine the best traits of its parent breeds, creating a loyal and energetic companion. Physically, Boxadors are medium to large-sized dogs with a muscular build, typically weighing between 50-80 pounds. Their coat is short and dense, varying in color from brindle and fawn to black and chocolate, often displaying the distinctive Boxer mask or the gentle Lab expression. Temperamentally, they are known for being friendly, intelligent, and highly social, making them excellent family pets that thrive on interaction. While adaptable, their energy levels mean they require regular exercise and are best suited for homes with yards rather than small apartments. Prospective owners should be aware of potential health concerns inherited from their parent breeds, such as hip and elbow dysplasia, certain cancers, and heart conditions like aortic stenosis.
