Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). BRUNO is an almost 4 year old (estimated DOB 10-21-21) pit bull mix, who was rescued from a dangerous situation with his siblings and other dogs. He is a super sweet and active pup! Looking for a family that can keep up with an active dog and give him the RDA of mental and physical stimulation that he needs. We require a general obedience class of your choice as a part of the adoption to get everyone started in the right paw. Bruno prefers to be an only pet and loves people but seems wary of young kids so, while he is learning and gaining confidence, an adult-only home would be best. Bruno is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Apply to adopt at panimals. Adoption $250.

In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds.
