Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). To adopt or for more information, please visit TaysiaBlue Hey, new friend! I’m Titan! I’m so excited to meet you, as I am with everybody! I am super snuggly, loving boy. I’ve had a rough upbringing, but I am willing and able to put all of that behind me and find my forever home. I really hope that’s with you! I’m a bit intimidated by other dogs, so would prefer so would do really well as an only dog, but I am not aggressive towards other doggies. Some things that I love are: love, car rides, cuddles, fetch, hugs, safety, and love! Truly, I am just the sweetest boy, which my foster tells me is remarkable considering the neglect and terrible conditions I was subjected to. If you’ve got lots of room in your heart, and in your family, I really think that I’m the piece that could scoot right in and fill that for you. So if you’re looking to love on a pup, and wanting lots of love in return, please fill out an application for me, Titan! To adopt or for more information, please visit TaysiaBlue

Breed overview
Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Husky, Arctic Husky, Chukcha, Chukchi, Chukchi Sled Dog, Sibe, Sibes, Sled Dog, Snow Dog
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is a striking and beloved breed, originating from Northeast Asia where they were bred by the Chukchi people for pulling sleds over long distances in harsh conditions. Physically, they are easily recognizable by their medium size, thick double coat (available in various colors and markings), and often captivating blue or bi-colored eyes. Their temperament is typically friendly, outgoing, and playful, making them generally good with children and other dogs. However, their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, coupled with a strong prey drive, means consistent training and secure containment are essential. While affectionate, their high energy levels and need for significant exercise make them less suitable for sedentary lifestyles or tiny apartments; a house with a securely fenced yard is often preferred. Health-wise, they are generally robust but can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia and eye problems such as cataracts and progressive retinal atrophy. Overall, a Siberian Husky thrives with active families committed to meeting their exercise and mental stimulation needs.
