Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Beagle / Mixed. Meet Lola – A Heart Full of Love ❤️ Lola is a beautiful 30lbs senior girl we recently scooped up from the Monroe Animal Shelter, and she’s already stolen our hearts. Sweet, gentle, and endlessly loving, Lola is ready to spend her golden years in a quiet, caring home — one that will love her just as she is. Shortly after arriving, we discovered that Lola has some serious heart issues that have gone untreated for quite some time. She has a 6 out of 6 heart murmur, and x-rays revealed an enlarged heart. Thankfully, there's no fluid buildup around her heart — a very good sign. Lola will need to be on lifelong medication (we have already started) to help slow the progression of her heart disease, but she’s still full of love and life. She enjoys short strolls, long cuddles, and being close to her people. Lola isn’t asking for much — just a soft bed, a warm heart, and a family who sees her for the sweet soul she is. If you believe in second chances and have room in your home (and heart) for a girl who truly deserves the best, Lola is waiting for you. Let’s make her golden years her very best years. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogsccrcdogs with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at .ccrcdogs, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
