Iris - Mutt Female Dog For Adoption in La Verne, California, USA

Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat).

Iris may not hand out her heart to everyone she meets—but once you’ve earned it,prepare to have a permanent little lap warmer. ❤️ This sweet terrier girl likes to take a little time to get to know new people and make sure they’re worthy of her affection. She might have a few things to say about you at first (she is a terrier, after all ), but once Iris decides you’re a friend, that cautious little exterior melts away and out comes an affectionate, devoted girl who wants nothing more than to be close to you. And when we say close, we mean your lap is now her lap. Iris absolutely loves affection from the people she trusts and forms incredibly special bonds with them. She’s the kind of dog who makes being chosen feel like an honor because when this girl loves you, she really loves you. She’s also wonderful with other dogs and gains confidence and comfort from having canine friends around. We would love to see Iris in a home with at least one friendly dog who can be her companion and help show her that everything is going to be okay. Iris appreciates a calmer environment where she can settle in at her own pace, so an adult home without children would be the best fit. She’ll also need a family willing to spend a little extra time getting to know her through multiple meet-and-greets before adoption. For Iris, friendship starts with trust—and once that foundation is there, you get to discover the incredibly loving little dog underneath. Quick Facts Sweet terrier with a big personality ❤️ Incredibly affectionate once she knows you Professional lap dog & cuddle enthusiast Does well with other dogs Would thrive with a friendly canine companion Builds beautiful, devoted bonds with her people Prefers a calm, predictable home ‍‍ Best suited for an adult home without children Multiple meet-and-greets will help her build trust before adoption ⭐ Loyal, loving & absolutely worth getting to know Located in Southern California Iris doesn’t need everyone to be her person. She’s just looking for her person. Someone who understands that the very best relationships sometimes take a little time, who will let her get comfortable at her own pace, and—most importantly—who has a lap available for permanent occupation. Give Iris the chance to choose you, and you may just find yourself with one incredibly devoted little best friend.
