Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Cara (GA), the little sunshine pup who’s ready to brighten someone’s world. Cara is estimated to be 2 years old as of January 2026. After being found all alone with a fractured jaw and a few battle wounds, this brave girl has healed up beautifully and is now living her happilyeverafterinprogress. She’s leaving her tough past behind and stepping confidently into her new chapter—one filled with love, playtime, and lots of snuggles. Cara is a total sweetheart who adores people of all ages and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big or small. She’s crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She’s also incredibly smart and eager to learn, always ready to show off her manners for a treat or two. She loves making new dog friends, hanging out with kids, being told she’s a good girl, and—most of all—snuggling. Cara would thrive in an active home, especially one with kids who want a playful, affectionate buddy. If you’re searching for a loving, gentle, snuggable companion who will adore you endlessly, Cara just might be your perfect match. Ready to give this sweet girl the happy ending she deserves? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
