Dog Breed: Boxer / Mixed (short coat). What’s not to love about Sable (SC)? That wrinkly little face? Her adorable underbite? One look and you’re done for. Sable is a 6-7 year old, female Boxer mix rescued in South Carolina as a stray. It’s clear life hasn’t always been kind to her—but you’d never know it from her heart. She loves everyone she meets: adults, kids, other dogs, and even cats! Sable hands out kisses freely to everyone - big or small. She happily joins group hugs and strongly prefers to sleep wherever her humans are—bed, couch, crate… as long as she’s close. She’s housetrained, sleeps through the night, walks beautifully on leash (politely ignoring critters). In other words: sweet, easy, affectionate perfection. Sable has been patiently waiting for her forever home, but we think it’s finally her time to find a family of her own.
