Text Simba to 864-441-9075 for my full story and photos - we'll send everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Simba is a quirky little guy with many facets to his personality. To foster mom, he is a velcro dog, looking for her everywhere. To foster dad he's a pain in the neck with his constant barking and resource guarding the upstairs because upstairs is his safe spot. To the caregivers, when foster mom brings him to her office, he is bipolar. Some days he's all over them, happy as can be. The next day, he is resource guarding against everyone in the place. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: .carolinapoodlerescue/application/ Must have: Someone who understands dogs raised without proper socialization or exposure to the world. Exercise: Simba is all athlete - strong, muscled and powerful. He is dynamite (personality and physical strength) in a neat, compact body. Best with: A single person, probably a single woman, who is looking for an active, strong and opinionated little boy who wants to hand her his heart and become her prince and her best friend Not ideal for: An experienced rescuer Energy level: High We do not believe Simba will ever be "normal" but he can be someone's companion, and he continues to become better in many ways than the dog we received in rescue It will not be easy but for the right person, it will be fun and satisfying. Good with dogs: Absolutely - the bigger the better Good with kids: Definitely not Cats: Unknown Fun fact: Simba is wicked smart - he wants to learn Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Want updates and ways to help? Overview:
The Miniature Poodle, a charming and intelligent companion, originated in Germany as a water retriever before being refined in France. They are renowned for their elegant appearance, characterized by a distinctive curly coat (often requiring regular grooming to prevent matting), long muzzle, and expressive dark eyes. Standing typically between 10 to 15 inches tall and weighing 10 to 15 pounds, they are a compact yet sturdy breed. Temperamentally, Miniature Poodles are known for their high intelligence, making them highly trainable and eager to please. They are generally lively, affectionate, and can be quite playful, thriving on interaction with their families. Their adaptable nature makes them well-suited for apartment living, provided they receive adequate daily exercise and mental stimulation. They are often excellent with children and other pets when properly socialized. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific concerns such as progressive retinal atrophy, luxating patella, and Addison's disease. With their captivating looks and bright minds, the Miniature Poodle makes a delightful and devoted family member.
