Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Please contact foster at imkendalldeangmail Daphne is about 6 years old. She is the sweetest dog I have ever fostered! Daphne has done amazing with my cat and I think itâs safe to say theyâre best friends now. I have not tested her around other dogs but in passing body language has been positive. She loves to cuddle with her person and I mean right up against you 24/7. She can be a little messy/destructive if left unsupervised with food or trash. I crate her during the day while Iâm at work and leave her out with me during the night and she does great. She would make an amazing indoor dog only. Apartment or house would be suitable for her! She needs someone who is willing to give her time to open up and not expect an excited dog right away. She is an old lady and deserved a quiet home to settle down in and enjoy her last years. She has the cutest quirk when sheâs excited and loves to scratch her back against the bed like a bear! She truly is the sweetest baby! -Rides well in the car -Crate trained -House trained -Easy to walk on a leash -No resource guarding -Loves to be petted. -Very submissive -takes treats gently -kid friendly -non-destructive -Cats: She was fine meeting a cat; a bit curious but easily redirected. Sheâll need slow introductions -Dogs: Dog friendly

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
