Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. This here is Emma! Emma is a female mix, about 3-4 years old, 50-60 pounds, up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative and she is looking for her forever home! Emma is just the SWEETEST girl! She thinks she is a lap dog sometimes and LOVES to give kisses! She also enjoys playing with toys, going on walks, rolling over onto her back and getting belly rubs and of course, PUP CUPS! But there is one thing about Emma that you should know… and that is that Emma has severe weather anxiety and she needs somebody who is understanding of that. Emma does well when she has a “Thunder Buddy” so to speak… as long as she has someone with her, she is fine! But leave her alone and she will do everything in her power to find you, including breaking out of kennels. So we are really looking for a retired/work from home/stay at home owner for her or even somebody who could take her to work with them or hire someone to sit and stay with her during bad weather. I know, it sounds like a lot, but we promise you that Emma will repay you back in kisses every single day! She really is the sweetest girl and we know her person is out there, we just have to find them!!! Could that person be you?

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
