Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Luna â The Gentle Soul with the Wiggly Butt Meet Luna, a 3-year-old blue Pit Bull with a heart as soft as her coat. Sheâs been let down before, but somehow, she still greets every day with kindness â and the sweetest wiggly-butt zoomies youâve ever seen. Luna is perfectly potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, and enjoys her strolls⦠but her favorite spot is right next to you on the couch. Sheâs a certified cuddlebug and world-class nap partner who doesnât need long walks or big adventures â just love, consistency, and a place to belong. Sheâs done wonderfully in foster breaks, showing just how calm, affectionate, and easy she is in a home. But back in the shelter, Lunaâs heart has started to fade â she misses being part of a family. Luna bonds deeply and loves fiercely. If youâve been looking forthat one dog whoâll melt into your side and never stop believing in you, come meet Luna. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
