This happy-go-lucky girl has the sweetest wiggle, the brightest spirit, and a joy that shines even brighter than her crown. Wiggles has limited vision in one eye due to a cataract, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. She takes her eye drops like a champ and is far too busy enjoying life to notice. What makes her pawsitively perfect: • Crate-trained and sleeps through the night • Can be left alone and is as good as gold • Obsessed with yak chews (her gourmet of choice) • Tail-wagging, joy-spreading, people-loving sweetheart A little about her personality: Wiggles is a young pup at heart and still figuring out the fine art of playtime. She sometimes gets so excited that her wiggles turn into happy hops and silly mouthy moments—especially if she hasn’t had her exercise fix. She’s a great girl who just needs a bit of guidance (and maybe a toy or two) to channel all that joy. Her foster family is already helping her practice, and she’s proving to be a quick learner. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
