Description
Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Meet Belle, what a beauty she is. Belle is about a year old and very sweet. She weighs about 53 pounds. She has the softest brown fur you will ever feel. She also has a loveable face. Bell is always happy to get love and attention. She thrives on someone interacting with her. She can get very excited when this happens and doesn't want you to leave. She has a tendency to observe what the other dogs are doing and sit back and watch instead of adding to the chaos. She loves attention and lovins'. She does not like cats though. She is a bit hyper and really wants to please you. She just gets super excited. She seems to be okay with the dogs in the runs next to hers.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
