Description

Dog Breed: Boxer / Labrador Retriever (short coat). Shadow is a 1-year-old black lab mix that is ready for his loving forever family. Shadow weighs approximately 58 pounds of love & sweetness. He is a complete love bug and is playful and active. Shadow loves running, playing tug of war, and being with his loved ones, and loves having lots of attention. He has lived with two little boys for the last 7 months and has been an amazing four legged family member, and sadly, due to a divorce, Shadow needs a new family to love. He loves going on walks, hikes, and loves lounging with his loved ones. Shadow is fully vaccinated, received his wellness exam, is neutered, microchipped, and he’s crate trained and sleeps in his crate the whole night through. Shadow is packed with his favorite toys, treats, and a full heart ready to love his forever family. Adopt amazing Shadow!!! If you're interested in adopting Shadow, please fill out an application at .doggiebonez. Boxer

A.K.A.: Deutscher Boxer, German Boxer, Dutch Boxer, Boxer dog, Boxy, Boxerman
Overview:

The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired dog breed of German origin, known for its distinctive appearance and vibrant personality. Physically, Boxers possess a strong, athletic build with a characteristic square head, an undershot jaw, and often a docked tail and cropped ears (though these practices are becoming less common). Their short, glossy coat typically comes in fawn or brindle, often with white markings. Temperamentally, Boxers are renowned for being incredibly loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them fantastic companions for active families. They thrive on human interaction and can be playful and patient with children, making them excellent family pets. While their energy levels require regular exercise, their adaptability means they can adjust to apartment living if their activity needs are consistently met. However, potential owners should be aware of certain health considerations, including a predisposition to some cancers, heart conditions like cardiomyopathy, and hip dysplasia, underscoring the importance of responsible breeding and regular veterinary check-ups.
