LILITH NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Lilith Best Guess for Breed: Hound/Terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 3.5 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Gets Along With: Lilith can be selective and we are unsure how she would do living with another dog, however with a long integration process, she may do well. She would also do best in a home without young kids. We haven't seen her with cats, but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area boarding partner! Lilith loves running around at the park! One of Lilith’s favorite things to do is play in the water! Lilith is Looking For: A forever family! Lilith did a great job raising her two adorable puppies Linus and Lucy and she is ready for someone to show her the same love she showed them. Even though she is three, Lilith still has that young dog energy, so she will benefit from regular opportunities to run addition to daily walks. What My Foster Says About Me: Lilith is a sweet girl who still has that puppy energy! She can be skeptical of people at first, but once she trusts you, you are IN! She is working on walking on leash which seems to be new to her, so she is practicing walking without pulling. She would do best in an active household where she can run around, and she is very food motivated which will be good for training. Heartworm information: Lilith is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Lilith has completed this activity restriction period. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
