Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (medium coat). *Insert Rocky Balboa theme song* It is I, Rocky, grand champion of...stealing hearts everywhere I go. I arrived to MCAS with a badly injured leg that required amputation of my front leg, but I am a fighter and have powered through with strength and spirit! You sometimes forget that I'm a tripod because of how well I get around, but when I need a break, I know you will be right there to lean on. I have seriously adored humans, and spending time playing fetch in the sunshine is one of my most favorite activities (I even bring the ball back...most of the time)! I like to keep my kennel tidy and may potentially be housebroken, but I'm such an eager student, I think I would catch onto learning anything quickly. I do know I much prefer the company of humans to other animals and may be best suited as an only pup in the home. So, ready to be my ADRIAAAN? Let's meet today!

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
