Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed (long coat). Click Here to Sponsor Me! Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed/adoption-application ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet. Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed/adoption-process At around 4 years old and just under 40lbs, Macy is the ultimate "ham." This tripod cutie doesn’t let one less leg hold her down. Whether she’s tilting her head for a treat or wiggling her way into your lap for scratches, she knows exactly how to work a room. Macy’s story started on the tough streets of another country, where life wasn't kind to dogs. She lost her leg during her time as a stray, but if you ask her, she’s forgotten all about it. While her past was a bit ruff, her spirit remained completely unbroken. Macy’s personality is a 10/10 despite her legs being 3/4. Apply to meet this cutie at .muttsinneed/adoption-application.html

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
