Description
Dog Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Meet Shiloh Shiloh is a 14-week-old puppy with the softest eyes and the sweetest little personality. She’s the smallest of her litter, but her heart is growing bigger every day. She’s just starting to come out of her shell and it’s been beautiful to watch—especially now that she’s discovered how much she loves belly rubs. Once she feels comfortable, Shiloh melts into affection and soaks up every bit of love you give her. Shiloh is gentle, curious, and learning how wonderful it is to be someone’s special girl. She would thrive in a home ready to help her continue building confidence while enjoying all the fun (and cuddles!) that come with raising a puppy. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly pup who’s blossoming more each day, Shiloh is ready to steal your heart. Interested in adopting this pet? Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
