Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Click Here to Sponsor Me! Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed/adoption-application ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet. Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed/adoption-process It’s been a whirlwind few days for this Baylee, and frankly, she deserves a nap that lasts a lifetime in a home that’s actually hers. Baylee comes from an abusive past we don’t like to imagine. She is only 3 years old and under 15lbs. While we don't know the full details of the abuse she suffered, her resilient spirit tells us everything we need to know: she is a survivor, and she is pure sweetness. From the moment you meet her, she is already wagging her tail and showing you love. She was safely rescued and placed into a home, but sadly, through no fault of her own, the resident dog wasn't ready to share their space. After 24 hours, Baylee is looking for a place to land again. We are heartbroken that she’s "bouncing," and we want her next stop to be her final one. Apply to meet Baylee: .muttsinneed/adoption-application.html

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
