Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie. Bradley is a fantastic, super sweet and friendly little guy. His favorite pastimes are snuggling in a cozy lap, strolling around in the yard, and going for walks. He greatly appreciates all the love and attention he receives, and shows you by giving sweet, little kisses. Bradley is truly a wonderful boy, who will make a loving and fun companion to brighten your days. Bradley is a Yorkie, and about 9 pounds. Although he is a senior, about 11-12 years old, he has the spunk and energy of a younger dog. His vision is limited but he gets around just fine. His left eye only sees light, due to a mature cataract. The right eye has an early cataract but is visual. Bradley is a happy and bright boy who is well adjusted, very easy going, and just a joy to be with. If you believe you are a great match for Bradley, please put in an application today. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
