Deputy - Located in Tennessee - Mutt Male Dog For Adoption in Imlay City, Michigan, USA

Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois.

Deputy is not for everyone. And that’s exactly why he needs someone now. He’s a dog who has been let down by rushed expectations and situations that moved faster than he could handle. What he needs isn’t more pressure — it’s clarity, structure, and someone who understands how to build trust the right way. Deputy struggles with fear around men, and he needs a handler who knows how to work through that thoughtfully, safely, and without forcing interactions. This is where the right person changes everything. Deputy • 5 years old, neutered Malinois • Medium–low energy, calm presence in the home • Lives well with other dogs and has been around livestock • Bonds deeply once he feels safe What he NEEDS: • Experienced handler or trainer mindset • Confident, structured environment • Slow, intentional introductions (especially with men) • Someone who understands that trust is earned — not rushed Deputy is not broken. He just hasn’t had the right guidance yet. *********************************************************************** MAD Rescue is an official 501c3 foster based rescue organization and does not have a physical location.
